Fireproof glass is a kind of special glass which can maintain its integrity in the specified fire resistance test. It is divided into two categories according to the product category: fireproof glass
Class A: Fireproof glass that meets the requirements of fireproof integrity and fireproof insulation, includes two kinds: compound fireproof glass and perfusion fireproof glass. This kind of glass has the properties of light transmission, fire prevention (smoke insulation, fire insulation, heat radiation shielding), sound insulation, impact resistance, which is suitable for building decoration steel and wood fire doors, windows, lighting, partition walls, lighting roof, smoke blocking vertical wall, perspective floor and other building components that need to be transparent and fire resistant.
Class C: Single piece of fireproof glass only meets the requirements of fireproof integrity. This kind of glass has the characteristics of light transmission, fire prevention, smoke separation and high strength. Applicable to fire glass partition walls, fire windows, outdoor curtain wall, etc. with no insulation requirements.

Divided into fire laminated glass, thin coated fire glass, single piece of fire glass and fire wire glass. The fireproof sandwich glass can be divided into composite fireproof glass and perfusion fireproof glass according to the characteristics of the production process.
■ By Fire Resistance Limit
According to the fire resistance limit, it can be divided into 5 grades :0.5h, 1.00h, 1.50h, 2.00h, 3.00h.
■ By Structure
Fireproof glass is divided into composite fireproof glass (perfusion type and composite type: grouting fireproof glass has good thermal insulation performance, while composite fireproof glass has good fireproof performance) and the single piece of fireproof glass.
■ Composite Type
It is composed of two or more layers of glass with one or more layers of water-soluble inorganic fireproof glue.
Fire Prevention Principle: When the fire occurs, the fire-facing glass will crack quickly when exposed to high temperature, and its fire glue interlayer has foaming expansion 10 times or so, forming a hard milky foam fire glue board, which can effectively block the flame, isolate the high temperature and harmful gas. Finished products can be edge ground, drilled, and scale cut.
When applied to exterior windows and exterior curtain walls, the design scheme should consider the combination of fireproof glass and PVB laminated glass. Scope of application: building rooms, corridors, access to fire windows and doors, and fire partition wall for fire zone and important parts of the fireproofing .
Made of two layers of glass (or three layers of glass for special use), sealed around with special flame retardant strips. The intermediate fireproof glue solution transfers into the transparent jelly after curing, and is bonded with glass as integrity.
Principle of Fire Prevention: After meeting high temperature, the transparent gelatinous fire prevention glue layer in the middle of the glass can quickly harden, forming an opaque fire insulation board. While preventing the flame from spreading, it also prevents the high temperature from conducting to the backside. This kind of fireproof glass not only has the fireproof heat insulation performance, but also has the outstanding sound insulation effect, which can be processed into arcs.
Applicable to fire windows and doors, building patio, atrium, shared space, computer room and the partition wall of the fireproof subarea.
■ Mono-sheet Type
Monolithic fireproof glass is a single layer of glass structure of fireproof glass. It can maintain the integrity of the fire resistance within a certain period of time, blocking the fire face from fire and toxic harmful gas, but it does not have a temperature insulation effect.
It is suitable for exterior curtain wall, outdoor window, daylighting roof, smoke blocking vertical wall, fireproof glass frameless door, and partition wall without heat insulation requirement.
■ New Type
Borosilicate Fireproof Glass: Borosilicate glass with low thermal expansion coefficient, good thermal impact, is a kind of widely used fireproof glass.
The chemical composition of borosilicate fireproof glass is generally SiO2 content 68~%78% , B2O3 content 10%~13%, Al2O3 content 2%~4%, R2O content 4%~8%.
