Laminated Glass and Bulletproof Glass
Features and Performance：
Sandwich glass is the glass made from two or more than two pieces of glass with a layer or multiple layers of PVB film (polyvinyl butyral) sandwiched between the glass, through high temperature and high pressure combination.
1.High Safety: As a kind of safety glass after being hit and broken, due to the bonding effect of PVB film sandwiched between two ordinary glasses, its destruction only produces cracks, and the whole glass still remains intact, which will not produce sharp fragments as common glass after breaking, and can continue to resist the impact of wind and rain. We use laminated glass for the front windshields of our cars.
2.Sound Insulation Features: Because of the damping function of PVB intermediate membrane to sound waves, laminated glass can effectively control the transmission of sound, play a good sound insulation effect. It can be isolated from matching noise with 1000 hertz-2000 hertz that can penetrate the ordinary glass, and reduce the noise of 35~40db.
3.Control Sunlight and Ultraviolet Ray Characteristic: PVB intermediate membrane can block more than 99% ultraviolet ray and absorb the heat in infrared spectrum, so that it can protect indoor goods from ultraviolet ray radiation and discoloration.
■ According to the melting point of the intermediate membrane, it can be divided into low-temperature laminated glass and high-temperature laminated glass;
■ According to the different materials sandwiched in the middle, it can be divided into paper sandwiched, cloth sandwiched, plants sandwiched, silk sandwiched, tough silk sandwiched, metal wire sandwiched and many other kinds;
■ According to the different bonding methods between interlayers, it can be divided into mixed laminated glass and dry laminated glass.
■ According to the different layers of the sandwich, it can be divided into general laminated glass, bullet-proof glass, dimming glass, display glass, LED light emitting glass, color film glass, non-slip glass, etc.
